Green River Distilling Co. will debut its newest whiskey, Distillery Select Toasted Double Oak Bourbon, at a daylong celebration at the Owensboro distillery on Saturday, June 20. Offering Owensboro locals the first opportunity to experience this limited release, the day will include food trucks and entertainment, along with special tours and tastings.

COST: The event is free and open to the community, with the opportunity to purchase tours, tastings, cocktails and bottles.
MORE: Throughout the day, guests will enjoy breakfast from Cotton Shed Donuts and Red Swing Coffee’s custom 1885 blend; lunch from Juan’s Food Truck and Primal Craft Dogz; Green River cocktails, raffles and live music.
In addition to Green River’s signature tour and tasting, the distillery will offer two special tasting experiences with National Brand Ambassador and Brand Historian Caryn Wells. Each will feature four whiskies including the latest release, as well as the opportunity to purchase a bottle of Green River Toasted Double Oak. PRODUCT: Green River Toasted Double Oak is the first release from the Distillery Select series, which will showcase some of the best whiskey coming out of this venerable Owensboro distillery. Through different proofs, finishes, or specific rickhouse selections, Distillery Select releases will celebrate straightforward innovations rooted in tradition. This eight-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon, finished six months in new American toasted oak, represents the oldest Green River bourbon released to date and has already received a Double Gold medal from the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Each release is available in limited quantities, packaged as a 375 mL and available for $49.99. These special selections are sold only at the Green River distillery in Owensboro (beginning June 20th) and at the Green River Tasting Room in Louisville (beginning June 26th).
