LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Jefferson’s Bourbon is introducing redesigned packaging across its core portfolio while making notable changes to two of its flagship whiskeys, including a new age statement and higher proof for Jefferson’s Reserve.
Jefferson’s Reserve will now carry an 8-year age statement and be bottled at 96 proof. The expression is made with bourbon aged for at least eight years in American oak barrels.
“Getting to this age statement meant going back through our older, more mature barrels and crafting this bourbon with intention,” said Ale Ochoa, Jefferson’s master blender. “Aged a minimum of eight years in American oak, this bourbon offers dark fruit and vanilla custard upfront, then baking spice, oak and toasted almond carrying through to a long, spicy finish.”
Jefferson’s Very Small Batch Bourbon is also receiving an update, with its proof increasing to 88. The company said the change is intended to enhance the bourbon’s flavor and versatility when served neat, on the rocks or in cocktails.
The refreshed packaging was designed to give the portfolio a more distinctive and consistent identity while helping consumers differentiate among the brand’s expressions.
The updated 750-milliliter bottles are rolling out nationwide at liquor stores, restaurants and bars, as well as through Jefferson’s Bourbon’s website. Additional 375-milliliter, 1-liter and 1.75-liter bottles are scheduled to reach the market later this year.
The redesigned core lineup includes Jefferson’s Very Small Batch Bourbon, Jefferson’s Triple-Rye, Jefferson’s Reserve 8-Year-Old and Jefferson’s Ocean Aged at Sea.
Jefferson’s has built its identity around experimentation, including blending different whiskey profiles and aging bourbon aboard ships through its Ocean Aged at Sea series. The portfolio refresh is intended to connect that exploratory approach with a more cohesive appearance on retail shelves.
ABOUT JEFFERSON’S BOURBON
