ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (July 24, 2026) – Elizabethtown-based nonprofit Give 270 has launched Crescendo for a Cause, a community fundraising initiative dedicated to providing foundational funding for the Hardin County Schools (HCS) Orchestra Program.

Through Crescendo for a Cause, local businesses, organizations, and individuals are invited to make a $2,500 donation to sponsor a custom-embellished, die-cut violin canvas. Each violin will be uniquely painted and embellished by a HCS student or faculty/staff artist. These one-of-a-kind works of art will either be displayed in participating schools or featured in an online silent auction.

The Hardin County Schools Orchestra Program provides middle and high school students throughout the district with opportunities to learn and perform on orchestral string instruments, including the violin, viola, cello, and bass. As the program continues to grow, pilot opportunities will also be introduced for select elementary students. Funds raised through Crescendo for a Cause will help purchase instruments that will remain at participating schools, expanding access to music education for students across the district.

“Learning to play an instrument builds confidence, discipline, creativity and teamwork,” HCS Superintendent Teresa Morgan said.  “Every instrument tells a different story, and we are thrilled to give our students another avenue to find their voice.  Crescendo for a Cause presents additional opportunities for students to flourish.  We are grateful for Give 270 and everyone who chooses to invest in the future of our orchestra program.”

The fundraiser will conclude with a gallery exhibit celebrating the orchestra program, participating artists and sponsors. The event is planned for Friday, Sept. 18 at

House on Helm in Elizabethtown.

“Crescendo for a Cause is about bringing the community together to create something that will have a lasting impact on music education in Hardin County,” said Kenny Rambo, co-founder of Give 270. “Every sponsored piece of art represents an investment in students and a reminder that our community values creativity, opportunity and the arts.”
