COLUMBUS, Ky. — The Ingram Distillery is celebrating Bourbon Heritage Month with the sixth batch of its Flagship Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, a 7-year-old wheated bourbon aged aboard the company’s floating barrelhouses on the Mississippi River.
The Ingram Distillery announced the release of Flagship Batch 6, its annual limited release showcasing barrels matured aboard its one-of-a-kind floating maturation facility.
The 2026 release is bottled at 113.8 proof and carries a suggested retail price of $79.99.
Flagship Batch 6 was created from a blend of 25 barrels of 7-year-old wheated Kentucky straight bourbon. Its mash bill is 70% corn, 21% wheat and 9% malted barley.
What separates Ingram from most Kentucky bourbon producers is where those barrels spend their time.
Rather than aging exclusively in a traditional land-based rickhouse, Ingram matures whiskey aboard floating barrelhouses on the Mississippi River. The company says the river environment exposes barrels to movement and changing conditions that influence the interaction between whiskey and oak during maturation.
For Flagship Batch 6, Ingram selected barrels from two different areas of its floating barrelhouses.
Twenty-one barrels came from the lower deck, which the distillery says contribute a more rounded and elegant character. Four upper-deck barrels were incorporated to provide additional oak and intensity.
The resulting 25-barrel blend represents Ingram’s signature annual expression. The Flagship name is a reference to the leading vessel in a fleet, with the whiskey intended to showcase the distillery’s approach to river-aged bourbon.
According to Ingram’s tasting notes, Batch 6 opens with pie crust, honey, vanilla wafer and milk chocolate on the nose, accompanied by hints of toasted coconut.
The palate is described as silky with warming spice and flavors of graham cracker, nougat and caramel, along with subtler notes of cream soda and cinnamon.
The finish brings cocoa nibs, vanilla and hints of sandalwood.
The sixth release follows recognition for last year’s Flagship Batch 5, which received a Double Platinum Medal at the ASCOT Awards and a 95-point Gold Medal at the 2026 International Wine & Spirit Competition.
Flagship Batch 6 is now available at retailers in Kentucky, Alaska, Georgia, Louisiana, Minnesota, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin. Consumers can search for bottles through Ingram’s online bottle finder.
The bourbon is also available for direct-to-consumer purchase in most states, excluding Michigan, South Dakota, Tennessee and Utah.
Bottles are also available directly from The Ingram Distillery in Columbus, Kentucky.
