Louisville, KY – Sept. 22, 2025 – This October, Buzzard’s Roost Distillery is summoning the spirits of Whiskey Row for a one-of-a-kind experience blending fine whiskey with eerie tales of the supernatural.
What: The experience begins at the Buzzard’s Roost Distillery & Tasting Room.
A Buzzard’s Roost Whiskey Guide and local Paranormal Investigator Fen Alankus from Feralore. Guests will be escorted to the Buzzard’s Roost hidden speakeasy, where they will learn about the unseen entities believed to linger in the space. Whiskey choices will be determined by the spirits, using a pendulum – and the supernatural energy of the room. If they choose, guests can ask the friendly spirits simple yes-or-no questions.
The next stop is the nearby Hereafter Speakeasy, where Fen Alankus will introduce guests to the eclectic curio cabinet and the mezzanine space – a former Civil War Map Room – which has a high level of paranormal activity. Tarot cards will guide guests’ cocktail selections, and guests’ cards will be explained to them.
Why: “Since we moved into this space on Whiskey Row in April 2023, we have had countless unexplained experiences,” says Buzzard’s Roost VP or Marketing Laura Coomes. “From objects mysteriously falling to phantom footsteps, to glowing orbs on security cameras, there’s a sense that we’re not alone here. We’re excited to share these stories with guests.”
When & Where: Fridays and Saturdays from 7 – 9 p.m., from Sept. 26 – Nov. 8. (No bookings on Oct. 17/18 and extra bookings on Friday, Oct. 31 at 4 and 6 p.m.) Meet at Buzzard’s Roost Distillery & Tasting Room at 624 W. Main Street in downtown Louisville.
