SHELBYVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 2, 2026) — Jeptha Creed Distillery is marking its 10th anniversary with a bourbon release that connects its Veterans Day roots with a new charitable partnership supporting military veterans and rescue dogs.
The Shelbyville distillery will release its fifth batch of Red, White & Blue Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey on Nov. 7, with a portion of proceeds benefiting K9s For Warriors. The nonprofit pairs trained service dogs with veterans experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury or military sexual trauma.
Priced at a suggested $74.99, the bourbon will be offered through the distillery’s gift shop, online spirits shop and select retailers across 40 states.
For Jeptha Creed, founded by mother-daughter team Joyce and Autumn Nethery, the annual release carries a connection to the distillery’s beginnings. The business opened on Veterans Day in 2016, making this year’s edition both a tribute to military service and part of its decade anniversary celebration.
“Veterans Day has always held a significant place in our journey, as it’s the day we first opened our doors ten years ago,” said Joyce Nethery, Jeptha Creed’s master distiller and CEO. “With our fifth Red, White & Blue release, we’re proud to continue a tradition that allows us to give back to those who have served our country. Collaborating with K9s For Warriors makes this year’s release especially meaningful, as we support an organization making a tangible difference in veterans’ lives.”
According to the distillery’s tasting notes, Batch 5 has an orange-brown amber appearance, with aromas of red berries, bread pudding, nutmeg and clove. The palate is described as rich and buttery, bringing together caramel, toasted nuts, dried fruit and toffee, with a touch of cinnamon.
The finish carries dried fruit, sweet oak and warm baking spices. Those producer-provided notes suggest a fruit-and-spice profile supported by familiar bourbon flavors of caramel and oak.
Founded in 2011, K9s For Warriors primarily rescues dogs and trains them to become service animals. The dogs are paired with eligible veterans at no financial cost, supporting the organization’s mission to prevent veteran suicide while giving rescue animals a new purpose. The nonprofit also works to raise awareness of veterans’ mental health needs and advance policy reform.
“We’ve seen firsthand the extraordinary impact a Service Dog can have on a Veteran’s life,” said Daniel Bean, CEO of K9s For Warriors. “Collaborations with Jeptha Creed help us continue providing these life-changing bonds to Veterans in need, while giving rescue dogs a renewed sense of purpose. We’re grateful for their commitment to honoring those who have served and helping advance our mission of saving lives at both ends of the leash.”
Jeptha Creed’s connection to animal rescue also has a place in its own history. During construction, the distillery team rescued and adopted four cats found on the property. The cats became familiar fixtures around the bourbon barrels and developed a following among visitors and on social media.
The distillery will celebrate the bourbon’s release with a Veterans Day tribute Nov. 7 featuring a color guard ceremony, guest speakers, bottle signings and light appetizers.
Additional details are available on the release event page. Retail availability can be checked through the distillery’s store locator.
