VERGENNES, Vt. — Lost Lantern is putting a Tennessee whiskey institution at the center of its fall 2026 collection. The Vermont independent bottler has partnered with George Dickel on a series that includes familiar Tennessee whiskey alongside styles the Tullahoma distillery has produced for years but rarely, if ever, released.
The George Dickel Collection is Lost Lantern’s first devoted entirely to one distillery and its first partnership with a large heritage distiller. It follows the company’s United States of Bourbon release, a blend featuring bourbon from all 50 states.
George Dickel is made at Cascade Hollow Distilling Co. in Tullahoma, Tenn. Lost Lantern co-founders Nora Ganley-Roper and Adam Polonski worked with distiller Nicole Austin to select barrels for the collection. Austin also serves as Diageo’s director of American whiskey liquid development.
The resulting lineup spans 18-year-old Tennessee whiskey, wheat whiskey, light whiskey, Tennessee-distilled rye and bourbon that did not undergo charcoal filtration. For drinkers who know George Dickel primarily through its Tennessee whiskey, the collection offers a look at the range of whiskey held in the distillery’s warehouses.
“Our mission has always been to shine a light on wonderful whiskies from all across the country,” said Polonski, Lost Lantern’s head of whiskey sourcing. He said the partnership gave Lost Lantern the opportunity to work directly with George Dickel’s team, taste each barrel before selecting it and identify the source on the label.
“These are whiskies that we didn’t even know George Dickel made until we visited and started working with Nicole,” said Ganley-Roper, Lost Lantern’s general manager and head blender. She described the collection as “the ultimate whiskey nerd’s take on one of the giants of American whiskey.”
The collection includes three releases in Lost Lantern’s Single Distillery Series that will be available in all of its standard markets. It also includes single casks representing seven styles of whiskey. Many of those casks will be exclusive to individual retailers because of their limited quantities.
Every release will be bottled at cask strength, without chill filtration or added color. Lost Lantern said it will disclose each whiskey’s origin on the label.
The George Dickel Collection is scheduled for release Oct. 21 through Lost Lantern’s website, Seelbach’s, select retailers in California, New York, Massachusetts and Illinois, and Lost Lantern’s tasting room in Vergennes.
