No, not the popular hairstyle, where it’s business in the front and a party in the back. This simple cocktail, much like its namesake will leave you satisfied on the back-end.
Now “Quit Wallerin” and try this drink.
- 1.5 oz Kentucky Bourbon
- 2.0 oz Iced Tea
- 1.0 oz Lemon Juice
- 0.5 oz Simple Syrup
- 0.25 oz Peach Liqueur
- Mix all ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
- Strain into a highball glass, filled with ice.
- Garnish with a lemon wedge.
Growing up near Eastern Kentucky, I didn’t want to like this cocktail, but I “Reckon” I did. There is something about mixing peach and bourbon that just puts a smile on my face. Each ingredient brought something to the table. The acidity of the lemon smoothed over the tea and the simple syrup. A simple cocktail to make on warm summer nights.
