A limited edition Double Barrel Cask Strenght Kentucky Straight Bourbon from Rabbit Hole is on today’s agenda.

The bourbon blends its signature four-grain triple malt with its high rye double malt bourbon to create a remarkable sipping experience.

The name is a tribute to John Tenniel, the artist who illustrated the original scenes of life down the rabbit hole in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

REVIEW:

Like Alice in Wonderland, this bottle will take you down the magical hole of premium bourbon.

This is my first taste of Rabbit Hole products, and it will spoil me going forward.

The nose has a sweet vanilla aroma that mixes with deep rich baking spices. Cinnamon toast comes to mind with a bit of nutmeg tapered in.

At a full cask strength of 108.5, it sips much lower, with cinnamon and vanilla being the most dominant flavors, but I can taste the oakiness of the toasted char barrel number 1.

The finish is where it is at! Smooth as silk with, believe it or not, mint. You can finish the bottle quickly with no harsh burn, but at $650 SRP, you may want to slow down and only bring it out for special occasions.

Tenniel’s 10-Year Anniversary is a collector’s buy if you can find it and afford it.

This whiskey receives 5/5 Barrels.
