“‘eh, I’m drinking bourbon ‘ere”

Many may not know, but New York drinking water is world-renowned for its quality. For that reason and many more, I was excited to try Jefferson’s Ocean New York Edition.

The bourbon has sailed worldwide and was cut with New York water at its Manhattan distillery, the first to operate there since Prohibition.

REVIEW:

Popping the top off the bottle, you immediately know you are trying something different. The sweet ocean smell of salt and just a bit of caramel escapes the bottle. I would compare it to being at a seaside amusement park, where caramel popcorn and sea air waft throughout.

As expected, the bourbon has a very clean feel on the palate but with touches of cinnamon and rye. It has a very layered exchange between the mouth and throat, as the flavor transitions to a warm creamy caramel with a little heat to go with it.

I am very pleased with this bourbon and recommend it to anyone looking for something different from the norm.

This whiskey receives 4/5 Barrels.
