Pinhook Bourbon has released the third edition of its Artist Series collection, Artist Series No. 3 Double Blended Bourbon. The label features Pinhook’s Master Blender, Sean Josephs, as he is deeply engrossed in the blending process. The work is from New Orleans artist Alexa Pulitzer.

Celebrating the art of blending, Pinhook took Brandy from barrels, blended, and then returned the juice back to the barrel for further aging. It is a technique that is typically used when making Cognac. The double-blended bourbon features a five-barrel micro-blend bottled at cask strength, along with a 108.1-proof six-barrel micro-blend.

“The limited Artist Series has always been a fun way for me to collaborate and work in a creative space with tastemakers from different industries,” Pinhook Master Blender Sean Josephs said in a news release. “Each release is unique and tells a different story, from how it’s blended and proofed to the design of each bottle. To celebrate this year’s release and how it came to be, we’ve collaborated with Alexa Pulitzer to help tell the story.”

Distilled at Castle & Key and bottled by Kentucky Artisan Distillery, Pinhook Artist Series No. 3 Double Blended Bourbon will be available on Breeze and at select retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $81.99.
