CLERMONT, Ky. — Knob Creek is bringing back its 21 Year Old bourbon for a limited time, giving whiskey enthusiasts another opportunity to purchase the brand’s oldest expression following its debut in 2025.
Aged for more than two decades and bottled at 100 proof, the returning release will be available at retailers nationwide with a suggested retail price of $249.99 for a 750-milliliter bottle.
Knob Creek describes the 21 Year Old as the oldest expression in James B. Beam Distilling Co.’s history. The release places extended barrel aging at the center of its identity, with each barrel individually selected by the company’s master distillers for balance and depth.
According to the brand, that selection process emphasizes the relationship between mature oak character and the bourbon’s underlying sweetness, highlighting the complexity developed during its lengthy time in the barrel.
The tasting profile features layers of caramel and char, subtle fruit, seasoned oak and caramelized sugar. Hints of smoke lead into a long finish described as toffee and charred oak.
At 100 proof, or 50% alcohol by volume, the bourbon pairs its 21-year age statement with a bottling strength that allows those mature barrel notes to remain a defining part of the release.
The return follows the expression’s introduction last year, when Knob Creek first offered the 21 Year Old in 2025. This year’s release again will be available for a limited time.
For shoppers seeking the bottle, the announced nationwide retail availability does not include a specific on-sale date or retailer list. The suggested price remains $249.99, with availability dependent on participating retailers.
