GLASGOW, Scotland (Oct. 29, 2025) — The Glasgow Distillery has announced the latest addition to its award-winning Glasgow 1770 range: Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Bourbon Cask Matured, an 8-year-old single malt bottled at cask strength.
This new release marks the second expression in the distillery’s expanding line of age-statement core single malts and follows the launch of Glasgow 1770 Ruby Port Cask Finish earlier this year. The Bourbon Cask Matured edition blends two of the distillery’s hallmark styles — 50% unpeated double-distilled and 50% peated double-distilled single malt — to create a balanced whisky that embodies both richness and subtle smoke.
Matured exclusively in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels for at least eight years, the whisky highlights the distillery’s signature tropical fruit character, layered with sweet vanilla, floral honey, buttery shortbread, and a touch of citrus and gentle smoke. The inaugural batch combines six casks — three peated and three unpeated — bottled at 54% ABV and limited to 1,400 bottles. It will retail in the United Kingdom and select export markets for £57 (approximately $73).

Expect rich vanilla, citrus fruit, tropical undertones, and a long, warming finish.”
The release marks another milestone in a standout year for The Glasgow Distillery. The company celebrated its 10th anniversary in March, released its first 10-Year-Old Single Malt in April — which sold out in under 20 minutes — and opened its visitor center in July to sold-out tours. The distillery was also recently nominated for Scottish Whisky Distillery of the Year at the Scottish Whisky Awards.
Glasgow 1770 Bourbon Cask Matured will be available beginning Nov. 4 through GlasgowDistillery.com and will be featured at Glasgow’s Whisky Festival at Hampden Park on Nov. 8, where The Glasgow Distillery serves as the event’s headline sponsor.
