Heaven Hill announced the Spring 2023 release of the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond series. The bottled-in-bond bourbon is a 10-year-old straight bourbon whiskey made with barrels produced in the spring season lasting from January to June of 2013 and is also bottled in the spring of 2023 at 100 proof (50% ABV).
The bottle is the classic 1950s Old Fitzgerald-inspired decanter with its green label. The Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond spring edition meets the requirements of a bottled-in-bond: the product of a single distillery from a single distilling season, aged a minimum of four years, and bottled at 100 proof.
Heaven Hill describes the bourbon as having aromas of “Brown sugar, molasses, and light baking spices with orange peel. The palate exhibits notes of butterscotch, subtle oak, and cloves, concluding with a long and warm finish of tannins, pepper, and a hint of barrel char.”
The Spring 2023 release of the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond series will be available on an allocated basis and has a suggested retail price of $139.99 for a 750 mL bottle.
