Outlander’s star Graham McTavish releases “The Warchief.” The name is from his role as ‘war chieftain’ of Clan MacKenzie. The seven-year-old bourbon bottled in bond bourbon ( BIB, produced by a single distillery, was aged for a minimum of four years in a bonded warehouse and was bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV).)

“It’s a dream of mine from when I was very young in Scotland when I thought about the journey I wanted to take – going to America and the opportunities that gave me. This is the distillation of that experience. I hope you enjoy it, and I hope you enjoy what I’ve put into it, which is a real passion, and it’s bloody delicious. Slàinte,” said McTavish.

As described on the Stars website, “It has an aromatic profile, sweet vanilla with a hint of caramel & chocolate on the nose” from the corn mash, with the rye lending “cinnamon, fruit cake and baking spices. On the back of the palate, its described as offering “nice subtle spice and dark cherry, with sweet vanilla on the tip of the tongue.”

The bourbon retails for $75
