LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky bourbon, original artwork and philanthropy are coming together for a charity raffle offering collectors the chance to win one-of-a-kind, hand-painted bourbon barrel heads paired with bottles of Elijah Craig 21-Year-Old Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
Kentucky nonprofit Bourbon with Heart has opened ticket sales for its annual Kentucky Bourbon Festival Art Exhibit raffle, which features 10 prize packages. Each includes an original barrel head hand-painted by a Kentucky artist and a bottle of the highly aged Elijah Craig bourbon.
Tickets are $10 and will remain available through Sept. 23, with proceeds supporting Bourbon with Heart’s efforts to promote Kentucky artists, expand access to arts experiences and assist nonprofit organizations across the state.
The 10 barrel heads will be displayed during the Kentucky Bourbon Festival in Bardstown from Sept. 10-13, giving festival visitors an opportunity to see the pieces before the raffle drawing.
The format adds an unusual twist to the traditional bourbon raffle. Each ticket purchased serves as a vote for the buyer’s favorite piece of artwork. The artist receiving the most votes will receive $500 and another $500 to donate to the nonprofit organization of their choice.
Ten winning tickets will ultimately be selected, one from the entries associated with each artist. Each winner receives the hand-painted barrel head they voted for along with a bottle of Elijah Craig 21-Year-Old Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
“Bourbon has a deep connection to Kentucky’s culture and identity, and we’re proud to use that connection to shine a spotlight on the incredible artists who call our state home,” Bourbon with Heart founder and director Morgan Hancock said. “We’re grateful to once again partner with Give 270 on this raffle, which serves as a great example of how we can bring bourbon, art and philanthropy together.”
The raffle is being presented in partnership with Elizabethtown-based nonprofit Give 270, which uses charitable gaming and other events to support nonprofit organizations and community initiatives. The organization launched BourbonRaffles.org in 2024 to expand bourbon-related fundraising opportunities.
This is the third consecutive year Give 270 and Bourbon with Heart have partnered on a raffle connected to the Kentucky Bourbon Festival Art Exhibit.
Officially designated Bourbon Raffles Serial No. 014, the drawing will be held live Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. on Give 270’s Facebook and YouTube channels following its weekly Whiskey Wednesdays raffle.
Tickets will be sold until 7 p.m. on the day of the drawing, and there is no limit on the number an individual may purchase.
