(Borden, IN)- Starlight Distillery is inviting the community to come together for their 5th Annual Pink Bottle Release, an evening dedicated to raising awareness and funds in support of those impacted by breast cancer.
The event will take place Thursday, September 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Huber’s Plantation Hall. Guests are invited to join the Huber family for an evening of community, celebration and giving back, with proceeds benefiting the Norton Cancer Institute Pat Harrison Resource Center in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The public release for the bottle will be on Saturday, September 19th at 10am (19816 Huber Road, Borden IN).
A Pink Bottle With a Purpose
Each year, Starlight Distillery releases its signature Pink Bottle, a special single-barrel bourbon personally selected by Dana Huber and her team, as part of an ongoing commitment to supporting those affected by breast cancer. The annual Pink Bottle Release has become a meaningful tradition for the Huber family and the Starlight Distillery community. At last year’s event, Starlight Distillery presented the Resource Center with a $4,700 donation, raised through a portion of Pink Bottle sales. More than 200 guests attended the fourth annual event, bringing the total raised through the Pink Bottle initiative to more than $23,000.
“For me, this bourbon is about connecting and creating an opportunity for women to gather while enjoying a bourbon artfully selected for this occasion,” says Dana. “As kind words from survivors and their families are shared, we are reminded that the need for more research, resources, and services is real in every community.”
Tasting Notes for the 5th Annual Pink Bottle
Taste: Starts off with French Vanilla and butterscotch, that softens slowly in the mid palate, with hints of melted caramel, tossed oak, toffee with red fruit notes.
Nose: Rich notes of melted caramel, toffee, dried red fruits and toasted oak.
Finish: Long, warm and complex with a nice level of sweetness.
This year’s event will continue that tradition while giving guests opportunities to participate in meaningful ways and show their support for those affected by breast cancer.
