FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky Distillers’ Association today welcomed Prova Spirits as the newest member of the non-profit trade group that unites and leads Kentucky’s signature Bourbon and distilled spirits industry.

Founded in 2024, Prova Spirits is an Italian-inspired “nano-distillery” in Louisville’s vibrant downtown NuLu district at 917 East Liberty Street. It began production last August.

The distillery is known for its small batch spirits – amaro, gin, limoncello and vodka – and offers visitors curated tastings, a cocktail bar, cocktail classes and events.

“Prova Spirits was founded on the idea that great spirits tell a story, and for us that story blends Kentucky’s distilling legacy with the flavors and traditions of Italy,” said Founder Giuseppe Paoulos.

“Joining the KDA allows us to stand alongside producers who share a deep respect for quality, authenticity, and the future of Kentucky distilling.”

KDA President Eric Gregory said Prova Spirits’ innovative approach to Italian spirits adds a unique dimension to Kentucky’s distilling community as they join the growing KDA family.

“Prova Spirits exemplifies the creativity and innovation that’s driving the growth of distilling in our Commonwealth,” Gregory said. “We’re proud to welcome Giuseppe and his team and look forward to working with them to advance Kentucky’s signature distilling industry.”

The addition of Prova Spirits to the KDA reflects the continued expansion of Kentucky’s Bourbon and spirits industry, a $10.6 billion economic engine that generates 24,000 jobs and pours more than $370 million into local and state tax coffers.
