Garrison Brothers Distillery, the award-winning first legal whiskey distillery in Texas, is proud to announce its top honors earned at this year’s  TAG Global Spirits Awards, held in February in Las Vegas, Nevada. The distillery earned seven prestigious awards, including Best in Show, a Platinum and three Double Golds for its Straight Bourbon Whiskey expressions.

Garrison Brothers’ Guadalupe earned American Cask Finished Best in Show and Platinum Medal. Guadalupe Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a port-cask finished bourbon named after one of the Lone Star State’s most beautiful rivers and is bottled at 107 proof. As with every expression of Garrison Brothers bourbon, Guadalupe is handcrafted and made from grain to glass at the distillery in Hye, Texas. Each step of the process, from corn to cork, is made authentically by Master Distiller Donnis Todd and his team.  A sensuous, creamy liquid, Guadalupe is considered a dessert bourbon and is encouraged to be paired with one’s favorite chocolate or decadent treat. Flavor notes include berry fruit, ripe plums, strawberry butter on flaky morning biscuits, chocolate and cinnamon, and lavender honey.

In addition to Guadalupe’s Best in Show and Platinum honors, the 2023 TAG Global Spirits Awards judges also gave Double Gold to three Garrison Brothers’ expressions: Small Batch, Single Barrel and Cowboy Bourbon®. HoneyDew scored a Gold Medal and Balmorhea came in with a Sliver.

“What an honor to have Garrison Brothers bourbon recognized by the esteemed world-class judges at the 2023 TAG Global Spirits Awards. Taking home top honors for five of our eight expressions, including a Best in Class for Guadalupe, is so thrilling. My team and I strive to make better bourbon every day and we are grateful for this incredible acknowledgment and awards,” shares Donnis Todd, Master Distiller, Garrison Brothers Distillery.

Garrison Brothers is served nationwide in top restaurants and bars and sold in fine retail establishments and e-comm stores.
