ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (March 4, 2026) – Give 270, an Elizabethtown nonprofit, has announced that a vintage bottle of Old Rip Van Winkle 4 year from 1988, along with a modern Old Rip Van Winkle 10 year, will be the grand prize given away during their latest 20/20 Unicorn raffle, set for Wednesday, April 1.

Barreled over four decades ago, this 86‑proof expression comes from a time when Van Winkle bourbons were crafted independently by the Van Winkle family, long before their joint venture with Buffalo Trace was established in 2002. The distinctive green label showcases  classic Rip Van Winkle insignia, complete with the vintage logo and the tagline, “Asleep Many Years in the Wood.” The year 1988 is etched into the base of the bottle, marking its place in bourbon history.

Give 270’s 20/20 Unicorn raffles offer $20 tickets for two chances to win from a curated selection of 20 prizes from a specific distillery, including an exceptionally rare “unicorn” prize.

In addition to the grand prize, each $20 ticket purchased in this raffle offers participants a chance to win from an assortment of other allocated and limited release Buffalo Trace prizes. These include a Blanton’s Gold Vertical spelling B‑L‑A‑N‑T‑O‑N‑S, the Buffalo Trace Prohibition Collection, Blanton’s Green France Single Barrel, Rock Hill Farms Single Barrel, Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel, three Eagle Rare 12‑Year and Stagg Single Barrel prizes, a Stagg Single Barrel, nine Buffalo Trace Give 270 Sazerac Barrel Select and Original Grain Buffalo Trace watch prizes and a Buffalo Trace Give 270 Sazerac Barrel Select with a Buffalo Trace glencairn, stave holder and muddler prize.

During the raffle, prizes numbered two through 20 will be drawn initially, with all tickets returning to the tumbler for an opportunity to win the grand prize.

The upcoming Unicorn raffle is set to take place live on Give 270’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. All proceeds will benefit Give 270’s work supporting worthwhile organizations and initiatives in central Kentucky. Tickets are available for purchase until 7 p.m. on the night of the drawing and there is no limit to the number of tickets purchased per individual.

“We are going vintage with our latest Unicorn raffle and we couldn’t be more excited,” said Eric Clemens, Board Chair of Give 270. “Our Unicorn raffles always offer a chance to secure truly rare bottles, and this one is no exception. We’re proud to host this raffle and raise funds that allow us to continue giving back to meaningful causes throughout our community.”
