Jeptha Creed Distillery, a female-owned craft distillery located in Shelbyville, Kentucky, known for its farm-to-bottle approach, using ingredients grown on their family farm. Even though Jeptha Creed is a relatively new player in the bourbon scene, it has gained attention for its innovative techniques and is the only distillery located on a major interstate in Kentucky.

Wheated bourbons, like those made with wheat as a secondary grain instead of rye, tend to be smoother and have a sweeter profile compared to traditional bourbons. They often exhibit notes of caramel, vanilla, and sometimes even fruitiness.

Jeptha Creed 6-Year Wheated Bourbon comes in at 93 Proof and has a mash bill of 75% Bloody Butcher Corn, 20% Malted Wheat and 5% Malted Barley, leading to a beautiful rich hue in a an extremely well-designed bottle.

This 6-Year old bourbon offers an aroma that comes from your favorite bakery where fresh baked bread and buttered pastries dominate the air.   The first sip reveals a very unique bourbon with a silky smoothness and very rich flavor profile. Notes of leather, tobacco, cherry and honey combine to provide a very unique structure and depth which are courtesy of its high wheat and corn ingredients.

The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering notes of cherry, toasted almonds and some caramel.  Overall, Jeptha Creed 6 Year Old Wheated Bourbon is a testament to the innovation and dedication of its mom and daughter team that have created a very unique and enjoyable bourbon.

Cheers!
