Chief Executive Officer George Koutsakis believes he found a solution in which everyone has the chance to enjoy the experience and right to own a personal barrel.
Simply by going through their website, buyers can have a personalized experience through the process along with the opportunity to name their own barrel. Buyers will also have their barrel stored in a secure warehouse while it ages to the desired maturity or the choice to resell the barrel through Barrel Global’s Marketplace.
Buyers also have the option to tour and see their barrel in person, creating an everlasting memory and unique experience for barrel purchasers.
Koutsakis added the decision to create his own company of single-barrel purchasing came from looking at the bigger picture and leaning into a market that hadn’t been fully tapped into yet.
With few competitors such a niche industry, Koutsakis said the challenge of getting his foot in the door initially proved to be difficult, that was until after a lot of explaining he began to make success in partnering with smaller Kentucky distilleries and eventually gaining naming rights from larger distillers.
After such success, Barrel Global looks to be a place where the process of purchasing, storing, bottling and reselling barrels is made simple. Having grown across 42 states and being in an estimated 10-15 retail locations, Koutsakis hopes to see future growth in the company and continue sharing unique barreling experiences with buyers.
