The Whisky Chicks and Bourbon Brotherhood hosted the ninth annual Bourbon Mixer presented by Splash Analytics on Saturday, August 20, at the Henry Clay. Guests got “back in the swing” with music, dancing, hearty food, and bourbon tastings from 21 craft and global distilleries. The auction, hosted by Legacy Home & Estate Services, featured over 100 specialty items. The renowned Pappy Van Winkle and WL Weller collections were raffled off in another evening highlight. The event raised a record-breaking $148,000 for the Coalition for the Homeless.

“We’re so grateful for the volunteers, donors, and sponsors of the Bourbon Mixer, who continue to raise funds annually for the Coalition’s life-saving work to prevent homelessness for Louisvillians,” said Natalie Harris, Executive Director of the Coalition. “These funds allow us to move people off Louisville’s streets and into housing more quickly and with fewer barriers.”

After a fun evening, the votes were tallied, with Bardstown Bourbon Company winning the Whisky Chicks fan favorite award and Castle and Key winning the Bourbon Brotherhood fan favorite award; the top auction fundraiser award went to Four Roses.

The swing-themed event was presented by Splash Analytics and many other generous local sponsors. A special congratulations to the winners of our Pappy Van Winkle and Weller raffles, John Fultz and James Carrico respectively!

The Bourbon Mixer was created in 2014 by Bruce Corwin and Linda Ruffenach and is supported by a planning committee of generous volunteers. Since its inception in 2014, the Bourbon Mixer has raised over $400,000 in support of the Coalition for the Homeless’ mission and work.
